Q: How do I get to Peninsula Gymnastics?

Q: How do I enroll my child?

A:For children under 5 years old, call us at 650-571-7555 for availability and to make an appointment for a trial class. 
For children 5 years and up, bring your child in for an evaluation Monday & Wednesday at 5:30pm or Saturday at 12:00pm. (no appointment necessary)


Q: What are your policies and procedures?

  1. Attire:
    Students are barefoot in gym area.  All clothing must not have large zippers or buckles.  No jewelry or jeans are allowed.
    Girls: Leotards are preferred but t-shirts and shorts are allowed. Shoulder length hair must be tied back. 
    Boys: T-shirts and shorts are fine.

  2. Observation:
    Parents are welcome to observe their child’s classes.  Please do not interrupt classes by calling out children’s names, this is disruptive to students and instructors.  If you need to contact your child during class, please ask front desk for assistance.

  3. Safety:

    1. No one is allowed on gym floor or equipment unless they are taking a class under the supervision of a Peninsula Gymnastics instructor.
    2. Spectators and siblings are not allowed on the gym floor or equipment at any time.
    3. No food or drinks are allowed on the gym floor or equipment. 
    4. All personal belongings must be kept in cubbies provided in the observation area.  


Pre-School Gymnastics:

Q: What kind of preschool gymnastics do you offer?

A:
Our Pre-school gymnastics program consists of 2 Levels: Guppies/Silver and Guppies/Gold.


Q: When can my child begin gymnastics?

A:
We offer Parent & Tot classes for student’s ages 20 months and up.


Q: When can my child attend class by himself/herself?

A: We require students to be 3 1/2 years old for entrance into our independent preschool gymnastics classes.


Q: How long is each class?

A: Classes are 55 minutes in length.


Q: What if my child misses a class?

A:
Peninsula Gymnastics offers make classes within 30 days of the missed class. Call to schedule (650) 571-7555


Q: What are the costs involved?

A:
Annual fee is $40 for one child and $35 for the second child. For classes, one hour per week is $65, two hours per week is $110. This can be paid by automatic deduction from your checking account, or, if paid quarterly, by personal check or credit card.


Q: What if I have more than one child enrolled?

A: We offer sibling discounts of 15% off of the 2nd child for classes only, and $5 off annual membership fee.

Q: What are the annual Pre-school events?

A: Twice a year Pre-School students participate in “Free-Style Evaluations,” each student will receive information tracking their progression through our program, and a prize to celebrate their accomplishments.

 


Recreational Gymnastics

Q: When can my child enter recreational classes?

Recreational classes are offered for those students aged 6 and up.


Q: What is the cost?

A:
Annual fee is $40 for one child and $35 for the second child. For classes, one hour per week is $65, two hours per week is $110,  three hours per week is $150. This can be paid by automatic deduction from your checking account, or, if paid quarterly, by personal check.  We also accept credit cards.

Q: How do I register?

Q: Are there any Recreational Events?

A:
Each year we host our annual “First Step” Festival, which gives our recreational students a chance to “compete” and demonstrate what they’ve learned through all their hard work. Students also have the chance to perform in our annual Holiday Show in December and Anniversary Show in June.


Competitive Gymnastics :

Q: How does my child join the team program?

A: Our Pre-team/developmental program is geared towards those boys ages 5 and up who show a strong desire and physical potential to be competitive gymnasts. These groups are selected by coaches’ evaluation and/or invitation only.


Q: How often does the team practice?

A: Hours vary between 3 and 25 hours per week, depending on competitive level.


Q: What are the costs involved?

A: Monthly tuition varies depending on level and hours practiced. There is also a $40 annual gym insurance/registration fee as well as competition fees and expenses.


Q: Is your team successful?

A: YES! During the past years, Peninsula Gymnastics gymnasts and Teams have won numerous state and regional titles.


Q: Where are competitions?

A: Most competitions are local, yet there are some competitions throughout United States.


 

Birthday Parties:

Q: Will a gymnastics party be appropriate for my child?

A: Peninsula Gymnastics’ parties are appropriate for children ages 2.5-12 years.


Q: Can the siblings of the Birthday boy/girl participate in the party?

A: Yes, but the siblings are counted as part of the children in the Choice Packages, and must be between the ages of 2.5 – 12 years old.


Q: How do I book a party?

A: A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to book a Birthday Party. Click here for downloadable form. Please call for available dates and times.


Q: Are parents involved in the gymnastics part of the party?

A: If the children are 2.6 -4 years parents should help their children in the gymnastics part of the party, but parents are not allowed to use the equipment.


Q: What is included in the Birthday Party packages?

A: Peninsula Gymnastics provides the instructor(s) for one hour in the gym area, the party room for 30 minutes, and all paper products for the children. (Paper products include: paper plates, napkins, cups, and forks/spoons/knives. The paper products are white.)



Camp

Q: Are half days available?

A: Half days are available, they are from 9:00am-1:00pm, the price is $30 dollars a day.


Q: Can children come on a daily or weekly basis?

A: Children attend camp on a weekly or daily basis. The week price is $170 form 9:00am. to 4:00pm or $40 a day for daily basis.


Q: Are there any discounts on camp prices?

A: There is a $10 discount for students here at Peninsula Gymnastics.


Q: Is gymnastics experience required for camp?

A: Peninsula Gymnastics provides camps for children who are gymnasts and beginners.


Q: Is camp just gymnastics or are there other activities involved in the camp?

A: Camp involves gymnastics, acrobatics, and the production of a circus show, group games, and lots of fun.


Q: When is the Circus Show?

A: Peninsula Gymnastics Circus on stage camp performs a show every Friday of camp at 2:15pm.
