Thank you for your interest in the City of Santa Clara’s gymnastics program provided by Peninsula Gymnastics! The facility is located in the beautiful Earl R. Carmichael Park, housing a tumble track, boys equipment, uneven bars, beams, floor exercise equipment, preschool size equipment, and much more!

As of Fall 2021, everyone participating at the Gymnastics Center must fill out a Waiver.

Programs

Pre School Gymnastics: Class Duration: 45 Minutes

Guppies Silver: Ages: 1.5 – 3 years old :: Parent participation required
Guppies Gold: Ages: 3 – 5.5 years old :: Non parent participation

The Pre School Gymnastics program allows the student to gain the basic knowledge of the gymnastics equipment while using all the students’ energy. These classes focus on listening and social skills, coordination development, body awareness and basic gymnastics skills. The program allows students to build strength and increase self-confidence. The classes include obstacle courses, music and fun creating a unique atmosphere for learning.

Level 1 Gymnastics: Class Duration: 85 Minutes

Girls Rec 1: Ages 4.5 – 6 years old
Girls Rec 1: Ages 7 – 12 years old
Boys Rec 1: Ages 6 – 12 years old

These classes teach basic gymnastics skills, body positions and terminology. This class aims to develop overall body awareness, strength, flexibility, condition and self-esteem. Students are introduced to all gymnastics apparatuses for their age, level, and appropriate skills progressions. Classes teach fundamental gymnastics skills on events including correct flight, safe landings, climbing, swinging, jumping, rocking, rolling, and beginning inversion. 2 classes per week is recommended.

Level 2 Gymnastics: Class Duration: 85 Minutes

Girls Rec 2: Ages 6 – 16 years old

These classes consist of students who have mastered basic gymnastics skills and movement in the Level 1 program. Classes focus on building strength, flexibility, and progressive gymnastics skills on all Olympic Gymnastics Events. It is recommended that students take classes twice a week.

Gymnastics Camps

Peninsula Gymnastics provides a FUN filled camp for children 4 – 12 years old who love to run, jump, swing, tumble, and dance! (Only Half Day for 4 year olds)
Campers will use trampolines, bars, beams, rope swings, rings, parallel bars, gymnastics tumbling mats, and much more to fill their day.
Gymnastics Camp provides a SAFE place for campers to exercise while having FUN! No experience required.

Half Day: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Ages 4 – 11)

Full Day: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Ages 5 – 11)

Parents Night Out

Parents, take the night off! Our Staff will entertain the kids with a fun-filled night of gymnastics, pizza, ice cream and a movie.
